As if the upcoming free, open-to-the-public virtual event marking the release of the graphic novel The Adventure Zone: Petals to the Metal wasn’t great enough, those good good boys are at it again with some very exciting news — the previously alluded to special guests have finally been announced!
This Friday, July 17 at 8:00 p.m. EST, your favorite McElroys — Clint, Griffin, Travis, and Justin — will be hosting a two-hour livestream event, The Adventure Zone Graphic Novel Live & Virtual!, to celebrate the third graphic novel based on their comedic role-playing podcast. This event is brought to you by The Strand and ReedPop. Artist Carey Pietsch, who has penned the incredible artwork for all three of the graphic novels in this series thus far, will also be in attendance.
The event will consist of a live reading of an excerpt from Petals to the Metal, a sneak peek at the behind-the-scenes making of the book, and much more. Those familiar with The Adventure Zone‘s Balance campaign can attest to the fact that the various arcs of the story are full of many cherished NPCs. And as much as we all love when Griffin calls upon his vast repertoire of character voices, some very special guests will be joining the livestream to take on the roles of those characters this time around. Joining the McElroys this Friday are Felicia Day (The Guild, Supernatural), Rachel Miner (Supernatural), and Brandon Routh (Superman Returns).
