No, you are not dreaming! Amazon Studios and Kilter Films (Westworld) are working together to create a series based on the iconic video game franchise Fallout.

Fallout starts in a timeline after WWII, where the characters have robots that help them and advanced technology all around. Each game there is a new story that is connected. The game eventually gets to where it is over 100 years, and there is the Great War in 2077 involving three significant powers. After the Great War, there is a nuclear bomb devastating the earth. Players can customize their character or choose one of the three available characters — Albert Cole, Natalia Dubrovhsky, or Max Stone — and explore the nearly destroyed country in the future. But they are not alone. There are villains, monsters, and more. The first game was released in 1997, with the latest being Fallout 76.

Producer Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy from Kilter Films talked about bringing the game to television:

“‘Fallout’ is one of the greatest game series of all time. Each chapter of this insanely imaginative story has cost us countless hours we could have spent with family and friends. So we’re incredibly excited to partner with Todd Howard (Bethesda Game Studios) and the rest of the brilliant lunatics at Bethesda to bring this massive, subversive, and darkly funny universe to life with Amazon Studios.”
