Time to start summoning some demons or find a resurrection ritual, because Sabrina Spellman and her friends are going to need all the help they can get. It’s been a bad week for fans of the Archieverse. First, it was announced that freshman series and Riverdale spinoff Katy Keene wouldn’t get a second season on The CW. Now, Netflix has announced that The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (CAOS) won’t be returning for another season. The supernatural drama series has one more set of eight episodes to air, and they will be premiering in late 2020.

CAOS stars Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina, a teen witch juggling the regular demands of high school with her increasingly busy magical demands (running Hell isn’t all it’s cracked up to be). The main cast also includes Ross Lynch, Lucy Davis, Chance Perdomo, Michelle Gomez, Jaz Sinclair, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Abigail Cowen, Lachlan Watson, Gavin Leatherwood, Richard Coyle, and Miranda Otto. The show’s official account released several photos to tease the now-final season, which you can check out below.
