After The Kissing Booth became one of Netflix’s most popular movies when it released in 2018, news came out last year on Valentine’s Day that the sequel was officially in development. When the cast revealed the film’s release date to be July 24 and a new poster during a special livestream earlier this summer, fans have been eager for a look at the new movie. Netflix has now finally released the first trailer for The Kissing Booth 2, starring Joey King, Joel Courtney, and Jacob Elordi.

In the trailer, Elle and Noah are coming off a whirlwind summer of romance, and Noah leaves for Harvard. Elle’s finding the long-distance relationship hard, especially knowing that Noah is surrounded by college girls. But she and Lee are focusing on their senior year and hopefully going to Berkley together since that’s where their moms became “besties.” Noah, however, suggests that Elle applies to Harvard so the two of them can be together, which could come between Elle and Lee’s friendship. A new guy comes into the mix, Marco, who could be what Elle has been looking for all along.

Watch The Kissing Booth on Netflix before The Kissing Booth 2 is open for business on July 24.
