Anticipation is high for TENET, critically acclaimed director Christopher Nolan’s latest film. The mysterious thriller is still set to be released July 17, making it the first major studio film to open in theaters during the COVID-19 pandemic. Warner Brothers recently leased a new trailer for TENET, and it looks to be an imaginative time-traveling blockbuster along the lines of Nolan’s previous hit Inception.

The trailer doesn’t offer any concrete explanations yet, opting to tease the mind-bending nature of the film rather than offer easy answers. If it’s anything like Inception, we’ll be discussing its meaning in detail for years to come. The official synopsis for TENET doesn’t offer any more clues than the trailer:

Armed with only one word—Tenet—and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time.

Not time travel. Inversion.

Well, that clears it right up. TENET stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, and Himesh Patel. Check out the trailer below!
