With production in film and television in an upheaval amid the COVID-19 pandemic, The CW has announced its broadcast schedule for 2020-21. Many favorites that typically premiere in the fall, like Riverdale and The Flash, will now premiere in January, while some shows like Supergirl (whose star Melissa Benoist is pregnant and will likely go on maternity leave before shooting can resume) and Roswell, New Mexico have yet to announce premiere dates. The bulk of The CW’s lineup will premiere in January 2021, likely due to delayed shooting dates.
