As filming has halted on season two of Netflix’s The Witcher, fans can dip into some behind the scenes action by tuning in to Go Creative Show, a podcast for filmmakers hosted by Ben Consoli.
Jean-Philippe Gossart, a cinematographer known for films such as Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, provides fans with a real insight into what it’s like to work on the fantasy TV series The Witcher.
The one-hour long podcast episode is a deep dive into the process of creating the fantasy medieval world of The Witcher, the connection between use of visual effects (VFX) and cinematography, lighting, filming, and some of the challenges met on set.
Gossart also talks about some of the inspiration taken from different genres of films, for example those created by Guillermo del Toro (and many others) and really gives fans a wider understanding of what goes into the rich world making of The Witcher.
