Washington DC’s Awesome Con 2020 Postponed to December 11-13

A creation of Leftfield Media, Awesome Con is a celebration of geek culture and is Washington DC’s premier comic con. Awesome Con 2020 was originally planned for May. However, due to the recent developments of COVID-19, the convention has been postponed to Friday, December 11 through Sunday, December 13 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in downtown DC.

The decision was made with public safety in mind, ensuring the safety of fans, celebrities, exhibitors and their teams at the event.

This family friendly event brings together over 70,000 fans, along with their favorite stars from comic books, movies, and television shows.

Exclusive features of Awesome Con:

  • Future Con, an area of Awesome Con exploring where science and science fiction meet – created with the Smithsonian!
  • Awesome Con Jr, an all-ages destination for the next generation of fans
  • Pride Alley, a celebration of queer creators and fans curated by GeeksOUT
