‘Roswell: New Mexico’: Here’s Where You’ve Seen the Cast Before They Discovered Aliens

Season 2 of The CW’s Roswell, New Mexico is fast approaching. In case you haven’t jumped on the train yet, you might after finding out that Jeanine Mason had a recurring role on Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Sam Bello before being cast as Liz Ortecho. Or, if you happened to watch A’s antics on Pretty Little Liars for seven seasons, you may recognize that Tyler Blackburn, who played Caleb Rivers on the show, now plays Alex Manes on Roswell.

Jeanine Mason (Liz Ortecho)

  • Grey’s Anatomy: Mason portrayed Grey Sloan intern, Dr. Sam Bello, for just 12 episodes in the long-running medical drama’s 14th season and its web series, Grey’s Anatomy: B-Team. Her character had faced deportation to El Salvador when ICE found her out but moved to Switzerland to work at an institute for medical research.
  • So You Think You Can Dance: In 2009, Mason competed in and won the FOX dance series’ fifth season, making her the show’s second female to win.

Tyler Blackburn (Alex Manes)

  • Pretty Little Liars: For the Freeform drama’s seven-season run and its short-lived spinoff, Ravenswood, Blackburn portrayed Caleb Rivers. At first, he was just another Rosewood High student who seemed like a bad boy and could easily hack into tech, but he soon became a fan favorite and one-half of one of the show’s best ships, Haleb.
  • Days of Our Lives: Before Pretty Little Liars, Blackburn played Ian in 17 episodes of the long-running soap opera Days of Our Lives in 2010.

Michael Trevino (Kyle Valenti)

  • The Vampire Diaries: For 92 of the show’s 171-episode run, plus its spinoff The Originals in two episodes, Trevino portrayed Tyler Lockwood, a werewolf-hybrid. His character was ultimately killed by Damon Salvatore towards the beginning of the show’s eighth season but would return as a spirit in the series finale.
  • Cow Belles: Just three years before The Vampire Diaries, Trevino co-starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Cow Belles, alongside sister duo Aly & AJ Michalka. Trevino played Jackson Meade, son of a farmer who provides milk to Aly & AJ’s characters’ dad’s factory. He also played Aly’s love interest in the movie.

Lily Cowles (Isobel Evans)

  • BrainDead: In 2016, Cowles played the recurring role of Germaine Healy, a senator’s pregnant wife, in the short-lived CBS political-comedy drama BrainDead.

Nathan Parsons (Max Evans)

  • The Originals: Starting in 2014, Parsons had a recurring role in The Originals on The CW for 23 episodes as Jackson Kenner.
  • Once Upon a Time: For eight episodes in 2017-2018, Parsons portrayed Nick Branson/Jack/Hansel in the popular ABC series depicting classic fairytales.
  • True Blood: Before The Originals, Parsons was on another vampire-based show. He replaced Luke Grimes as James Kent in the HBO series True Blood in the final season.
  • General Hospital: Parsons was a series regular on the long-running medical soap opera from 2009-2012 and a guest star in 2013 and 2015.

Riley Voelkel (Jenna Cameron)

  • The Originals: Voelkel had a recurring role in The Vampire Diaries spinoff in season 2, then became a series regular for the show’s remaining three seasons as vampire Freya Mikaelson. Voelkel also returned to the role in The Originals spinoff, Legacies, last year during the show’s second season.
  • American Horror Story: Coven: Voelkel recurred in three episodes of the popular FX show’s third season as a young Fiona Goode.

Heather Hemmens (Maria DeLuca)

  • Hellcats: Hemmens starred alongside Ashley Tisdale and Aly Michalka in The CW cheerleading series Hellcats as Alice Verdura. The show only ran for one season.

Sherri Saum (Mimi DeLuca)

  • The Fosters: Saum played Lena Adams-Foster in Freeform’s popular series for its five-season run and has also reprised the role in four episodes of its spinoff Good Trouble.
  • One Life to Live: From 2001-2003, Saum was a series regular on the long-running ABC soap opera as Keri Reynolds and was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 2002 for “America’s Favorite Couple.”

Trevor St. John (Jesse Manes)

  • One Life to Live: St. John joined the cast of One Life to Live in 2003 as Flynn Walker Laurence but was revealed to be Victor Lord Jr. posing as Todd Manning. He was on the series until 2011 but appeared in episodes in 2012 and 2013.
