Audio Specialist Sennheiser to Host ‘The Sound Bar’ at SXSW

This year at SXSW, Sennheiser is hosting “The Sound Bar,” which is being described as “a unique audio-forward experience.” Now, if you’re from the Austin area or just know Austin in general, you know that we Austinites love our music and we also love to share that music, so this is the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the local music like never before!

Sennheiser is a German audio company that specializes in designing and producing a wide variety of equipment including headphones, microphones, phone accessories and even aviation headsets. Sennheiser was founded in 1945 by Fritz Sennheiser and in 2013 his grandsons, Daniel and Dr. Andreas Sennheiser became co-CEO’s with equal rights. The company began its journey producing measuring equipment but began developing its own microphone almost immediately which they still do today, 75 years later.

Here are the details we know so far: This event is a 21+ unique audio experience that will be held at the Vulcan Gas Company located at 418 E. 6th Street in Austin. The event will take place on both March 14 and 15 between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Those 21+ with a Music, Platinum, Film or Interactive badge will be eligible for entry to the event. For more information, you are encouraged to visit the SXSW information page for the event or Sennheiser’s event Instagram.
