Held in Kansas City, Missouri, the Kansas City Comicon was founded in 1999 and is the largest and longest running comic book, and pop culture event in the region. This year, the Comicon will be celebrating its 21st annual Event!
The Comicon event will be held March 20-22 at Bartle Hall and is jam packed with celebrity guests, the best comic creators in the world, interactive exhibits, collectibles and so much more!
This year’s guests are in for a special treat. Joining the star studded celebrity lineup is master builder, author, television host, and science geek, Adam Savage. Savage is best known for his role as the co-host of Discovery Channels hit show MythBusters and is currently the host of the Discovery Channel program Savage Builds, as well as the editor-in-chief for Tested.com.
Not only will Savage be there for his own event, but he will also be acting as emcee for a special panel featuring Planet Comicon guest John Cleese on Friday, March 20.
Savage and Cleese are just a couple of the amazing guests on-site during Planet Comicon Kansas City. Guests will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with their favorite stars, comic creators from around the world, enjoy autograph signings, get first hand looks at exclusive collectibles, plus more!

Thats not all! This year’s event will also include cosplay competitions, speed dating, Esports tournaments, tabletop competitions and other onsite festivities. But the event will also expand off site as well, providing more fun and exciting activities for con goers. Planet After Dark will include activities outside of event hours, both at the convention center and at venues in the area. Enjoy a A Star Wars Pop Up Bar at Guy Fieri’s Dive & Taco Joint, Geek Trivia at No Other Pub, and Drink and Draw at Pawn & Pint. These are just a few of the after hour events available throughout the three day event.
