New ‘Roswell, New Mexico’ Images Released Ahead of Season Two Premiere

As the Roswell, New Mexico season two premiere date draws closer, fans are eager for a glimpse at what is in store for this season. Luckily The CW has released 12 new stills from episode one, titled “Stay (I Missed You)”. It’s an apt title as anyone who is caught up on the series knows that season one ended with the heartbreaking death of Max Evans and the resurrection of Rosa Ortecho, Liz’s sister.

The 12 new images show what is sure to be an emotional episode as the town attends Max’s funeral (with a striking wardrobe choice from Isobel!). We also see Liz, her father, and Maria sharing a heartfelt moment at the Crashdown Cafe and what appears to be an altercation between Michael and Alex. Check out the images below!

The new synopsis of season two from The CW is as follows:

“Once again, an Ortecho sister with a sharp tongue and a chip on her shoulder is back in Roswell after ten years goneā€¦ and sheā€™s about to discover sheā€™s been serving mint chip milkshakes to intergalactic aliens all her life. In the final moments of season one, Max Evans (Nathan Dean Parsons) used his alien powers to resurrect Rosa (Amber Midthunder) a decade after her murderā€¦ not realizing that he was sacrificing his own life in the process.

In season two, Liz (Jeanine Mason) mourns her lost love by seeking comfort in science, both earthly and extraterrestrial, as Rosa turns to Kyle (Michael Trevino) to help her find her place in the unfamiliar territory of 2019. In their grief, Isobel (Lily Cowles) explores potentially dangerous methods of self-defense, and Michael (Michael Vlamis) spirals into some old bad habits, putting his relationships with Maria (Heather Hemmens) and Alex (Tyler Blackburn) at risk. Finally, our heroes must make a deal with Jesse Manes (Trevor St. John) for information after a friend seems to vanish into thin airā€¦ and the apparent ā€œalien abductionā€ brings new small-town secrets to light.”

Roswell, New MexicoĀ returns for season two on The CW Monday, March 16 at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. Central following Supernatural.
