As exclusively reported by Variety, Lindsey Morgan is set to join the cast of Walker starring Jared Padalecki. The show will feature Morgan as Micki, Walker’s new partner, who contends with sexism as she works to prove she deserves to be a Texas Ranger. Morgan is best known for her role as Raven Reyes in The 100, another hit The CW show set to air its series finale in 2020 alongside Supernatural. According to Hollywood North Buzz, the series will begin filming in Austin, Texas in April. The synopsis for the show states that:

Jared Padalecki stars as Cordell Walker, a widower and father of two with his own moral code, who returns home to Austin after being undercover for two years, only to discover there’s harder work to be done at home. He’ll attempt to reconnect with his children, navigate clashes with his family, and find unexpected common ground with his new partner Micki — one of the first women in Texas Rangers’ history — while growing increasingly suspicious about the circumstances surrounding his wife’s death.

Walker is a reboot of the classic series Walker, Texas Ranger, which originally starred Chuck Norris. The show recently received a straight to series order from The CW for the 2020-21 season with no word yet on an official premiere date.
