Jeffrey Dean Morgan to Star in New Horror Film ‘Shrine’

Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been cast in a new horror film titled Shrine, which begins filming in February. The film will be produced by Sam Raimi, famous for his cult horror series Evil Dead.

Shrine is an adaptation of a James Herbert novel of the same title. The novel is about Alice, a deaf-mute who after encountering a vision of a lady in white is cured and can now preform miracles. Alice is changed by this and goes from a guileless child into something much darker.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan will play the lead character in the film, a disgraced journalist who is trying to resurrect his career that stumbles upon what seems to be dive miracles. But he discovers these miracles have a much darker sources when he looks into them further. The film will also star Jordana Brewster and is being written and directed by Evan Spiliotopoulos.
