Between the human-like teeth and too-textured muzzle, Paramount’s first trailer debuting their 3D film about Sonic the Hedgehog bombed harder than Doctor Robotnik. No, really, the reactions were so negative that director Jeff Fowler even announced a halt on production until they could deliver a better Sonic.
Thank you for the support. And the criticism. The message is loud and clear… you aren’t happy with the design & you want changes. It’s going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be… #sonicmovie #gottafixfast 🔧✌️

Yesterday, that redesign finally dropped in a new two-minute trailer. Since the trailer’s release, fans have been showering Fowler and Paramount in positive support. Not only for Sonic’s new look but also the fact that they actually listened to their audience. Because of the redesign delay, the movie will have a later release date of February 14, 2020.
