Billboard has reported that Idina Menzel (Frozen) will be joining the cast of the upcoming movie musical Cinderella. She will be portraying the Evil Stepmother. Two-time Grammy nominee Camila Cabello has already been confirmed to play the role of Cinderella, and Billy Porter (American Horror Story) was announced to play the Fairy Godmother.

Rounding up what we know so far about the movie is that it is going to be an adaptation from an idea by James Corden (Into The Woods). Kay Cannon (Pitch Perfect) is writing and directing. James Corden and Leo Pearlman (I am Bolt) will be serving as producers. Exactly what the plot entails and what the music will be like has not been announced just yet. However, with the big-hitting names that have been announced so far, we are very excited to see what this re-imagining of Cinderella will bring!
