From the ashes they must rise.

The Vikings season six official trailer has been released. The sixth and final season will return to the History channel on Wednesday, December 4, for a two-hour premiere. The last twenty episodes are sure to be a bloody conclusion to the story. But, fret not, creator Michael Hirst (Camelot, The Tudors) has revealed that there is a spinoff on the way.

The season will pick up after the brothers battled each other. The trailer shows Bjor, who was the victor and seen as a hero to the people of Kattegat that were under Ivar’s rule. Lagertha is on her farm, but the trouble is coming. Ivar goes to find a new path and is in Russia, where a King is telling him that he is building to invade and wants his help. Who will survive the many battles that are sure to come?

Vikings stars Gustaf Skarsgård, Katheryn Winnick, Alicia Agneson, Alex Høgh Andersen, Alexander Ludwig, Danila Kozlovsky, Eric Johnson, and more.
