Universal has announced that the Orlando Resort will be hosting its first “Running Universal” event — discounting the daily run many people take across the Islands of Adventure park to get to the front of “Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure” ride queue. They announced that the Epic Character Race 5K and 10K weekend will take place February 1-2, 2020.

A “Running Universal” event also took place at Universal Studios Hollywood in May 2019. After proving popular, a second Jurassic World themed run will take place in November 2019. The first race, Minion Run 5K, took people through the different lands of the Hollywood park and even into parts of the Universal backlot. We do not currently know what route the Orlando Resort runs will take around the parks, but it is sure to be magical.

You can register your email address with Universal here to be updated on medals, swag, which epic characters you may encounter, and more. Registration will open for the race in October.
