Honoring the 30th anniversary of The Little Mermaid‘s cinematic release, ABC will host The Little Mermaid Live! on November 5, which will be a live musical broadcast starring Queen Latifah as Ursula and Auli’i Cravalho as Ariel (who is known for the main role in Moana.) Joining the spectacular live musical event will be none other than John Stamos, who will be reprising the role of Chef Luis, which he has already played in a Hollywood Bowl production. Joining Stamos will be Graham Phillips (known for his role on The Good Wife,) who will play the role of Prince Eric.

The event will be a mixture of live musical performances and a screening of the original film, combining the love for the original and fresh interpretations of the classic songs. According to ABC’s website, “[the] hybrid format will feature beautifully intricate sets and costumes, with music from the original animated film and the Tony Award®-winning Broadway stage version, originally composed by eight-time Oscar®-winning composer, Alan Menken. Howard Ashman’s iconic film lyrics will also be showcased, while lyricist for the Broadway adaptation, Glenn Slater, will contribute to the star-studded spectacular.”

The Little Mermaid Live! will air on November 5 from 8 p.m. – 10 p.m. EST, live on ABC.

Conny joined her first fandom at the tender age of three and somehow never stopped finding new things to obsess about and love. Her current love is everything Marvel, especially two characters who tend to be frozen at one point or the other. From Drag Race to Harry Potter or musical theatre, as long as it makes her smile (or cry), it’s probably her thing.
