‘Game of Thrones’ and More Win Big at The 71st Primetime Emmy Awards

The biggest night in television brought out the biggest stars in television, including Homer Simpson opening the show, the cast of Game of Thrones all appearing on stage to a standing ovation, and a Halsey performance to remember those who are no longer with us. Shows like Game of Thrones and Fleabag won big, as well as a few surprise winners for their outstanding performances.

A notable moment at the Emmys includes a performance from Halsey covering “Time After Time” for the In Memoriam segment of the show. Some names included are Luke Perry, who passed earlier this year from a stroke; Stan Lee, who passed last year; Cameron Boyce, the youngest one on the list who passed less than three months ago after suffering a seizure in his sleep; and Doris Day, who passed earlier this year.
