‘Overwatch’ Coming to Nintendo Switch This Fall

Rumors were confirmed when Overwatch was announced for the Nintendo Switch at the Sept 4 Nintendo Direct. Speculations had been flying around since Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan’s June announcement that there would be “something exciting” coming late summer/early fall of this year.

The biggest difference players will notice when playing on the Nintendo Switch, compared to other consoles, is that they will be able to control certain elements through the gyroscopic motion controls.

A Nintendo account and Nintendo Switch Online will be needed to play (as well as a stable internet connection), but the good news is that a three month subscription is included if the game is pre-purchase here. Players will also get the Noire skin for Widowmaker, and if purchased before Dec 31 you will also get a golden loot-box, which will guarantee a legendary item! Overwatch for Nintendo Switch will be available in stores on October 15. Check out the official announcement for the highly anticipated game below:
