Watchmen, starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Aquaman), Christie Amery, and Hong Chau (Downsizing), has received a series premiere date of October 20 at 9:00 p.m. on HBO.

Masked vigilantes have always been given the benefit of the doubt, they’re the good guys…right? Well, Batman and Spider-Man are, but the characters of Watchmen are seen as more of the Robin Hood-type; not to say they take from the rich to give to the poor, they’re just seen as outlaws. The show claims to “embrace the nostalgia of the graphic novel, while attempting to break new ground of its own.”
