If there’s one thing we know, Marvel Studios always has some tricks up their sleeve.

Last month at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel president Kevin Feige revealed Marvel’s Phase Four, but today at D23 they gave us a little bit more to look forward to. An unnamed sequel to the Academy Award-Winning Black Panther releasing on May 6, 2022 was announced, but no other details were revealed beyond director Ryan Coogler and his team are “taking their time with it”. We can only anticipate the film tying in with the new Disney+ series featuring many of the characters T’Challa has crossed paths with so far.

The sequel will join the already impressive line-up of new Disney+ content and films arriving between 2020 and 2022 including Eternals, Black WidowShang-Chi and the Ten RingsDoctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, and Thor: Love and Thunder.
