D23: ‘Lizzie McGuire’ Gets Reboot for Disney Plus

Hillary Duff announced a Lizzie McGuire reboot at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, CA on Friday.  The popular teen show from the 2000’s will be rebooting on their Disney Plus streaming service.  Duff will return to reprise her role and will center around Lizzie as a 30-year-old living in New York. The original series aired for 2 seasons from 2001 to 2004 on The Disney Channel and spawned a feature film, The Lizzie McGuire Movie. Terry Minsky, the show’s original creator, will be show-runner for the reboot. Duff also took to Instagram to alert the fans.

 

Details such as release date, episode count, and if any other original cast members will be reprising their roles was not available but stick with Nerds and Beyond for updates!
