San Diego Comic-Con saw the birth of a new platform from the brains of some of the hardest working people we know in SPN Family Values and now, we may get to see them in action.
Jill Krause has submitted a panel to PanelPicker for South by Southwest (SXSW) 2020 on “leveraging social influence for social good.” The panel consists of Jill Krause (author/founder of Baby Rabies), Charlie Capen (VP, GISH), Morgan Shanahan (Managing Editor, Callisto Media) and Laura Mayes (founder of Mom2.0) who hope to motivate all levels of social media accounts to get active to stimulate real change. In the panel, they’ll discuss how GISH and Stands, with the support of actor Misha Collins, worked together to help the families and children at the U.S./Mexico border.

What good is a following or a platform if you don’t use it to help shape a better world? In 2020, we can’t ignore how powerful our own platforms can be, and how they can influence real change. We’re going to tell you how to take your passion for a social issue and leverage your influence to make real and lasting changes. You will learn how to activate not only your personal networks, but also how to motivate brands and companies to join your cause. Together, our panel brought powerful resources and support to organizations helping refugees at our border in 2019 simply by stepping up and deciding to be the adults we were waiting for direction from, and by getting our followers to act.
