Monthly Video Game Releases: August

Games and Beyond

Video games are more prominent than ever. 2019 will see long-awaited sequels, reboots, and new series available on multiple platforms — and it doesn’t look to be slowing down. Also, this month is PAX West, taking place in Seattle, Washington August 30 to September 2.

Regardless of the platform you use, Play Station 4 (PS4), Xbox One (XBO), Nintendo Switch (NS), Computer (PC) etc., there is a game for you to enjoy. Check out this list of some of the anticipated video games to be released in August!

Included in those games is a computer-based game called The Vale, which is an audio game for the visually impaired and sighted. “The Vale is a first step toward our ultimate goal to produce mainstream video games that sighted and blind gamers can play together.”

Also, just a mention for those who were looking forward to playing Shenmue III this month, unfortunately its release has been delayed until November 19.
