True Crime fans of the world REJOICE!
David Fincher, mastermind and co-executive producer, revealed in an interview this week on The Treatment that the second season of Mindhunter will be coming to Netflix next month!
The show, based on Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit written by retired FBI agent John E. Douglas and co-written by Mark Olshaker, was an instant hit. Season one dropped in October of 2017 and gave people a taste of the deranged by focusing on The Co-Ed Killer himself, Ed Kemper (Cameron Britton). Fincher didn’t give away too much, but just enough to revive the Mindhunter hype.
On August 16th, just over a month away, Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) will return with Dr. Wendy Carr (Anna Torv) to track, profile, and study serial killers. Part of season two will be focusing on the horrendous Atlanta Child Murders that took place between 1979 and 1981.
Can’t wait to get back to Quantico in just a few short weeks? Check out the trailer for season two below!
