This past weekend, indie thriller/comedy film Driven made its much anticipated west coast debut at the Dances with Films Festival in Los Angeles, California, at the famed TCL Chinese Theatre. Director, Glenn Payne and writer, Casey Dillard were joined by fellow Driven star Richard Speight, Jr. to celebrate and promote the most recent viewing of the film.

In an interview with Rama Gidion of “Rama’s Screen”, Speight shares his insight on working with Payne and Dillard, his passion for working on smaller budget projects, and even his own anecdote on a quirky ride share experience. Not to let a good opportunity pass by, Rama inquires of Speight’s involvement in the upcoming final season of Supernatural.

Richard Speight, Jr. has become a sort of fan favorite in the cult horror series, appearing both in front of the camera as the multifaceted Trickster/Gabriel/Loki, as well as behind the camera as the director of seven episodes. Speight’s Supernatural directing credits include “Just My Imagination”, “Stuck in the Middle (With You)”, and “Unfinished Business”, just to name a few.

In this recent interview, Speight revealed that he will be directing three episodes that will be scattered throughout season 15; and, before you think to ask: no, he does not know what is going to happen. As a fellow fan of the show, he assures us that we really don’t want the spoilers anyway.

“I feel blessed beyond measure to have been a part of a show as cool as Supernatural.” Speight says regarding the departure of Supernatural from the airwaves, “That is the gift of that show. That we all have an emotional reaction to its parting says a lot about how connected we were to it while it was here.”

Supernatural Season 15 premieres Thursday, Oct 10 at 8pm.
