Memorial Day weekend may be the unofficial start of summer, but for over 35,400 fans of Anime, Gaming, Comics, Cosplay, and American Animation it is also MomoCon! The convention boasts being one of the fastest growing all ages conventions in the country, with a large exhibitor/vendor hall, gaming tournaments, and an extensive guest list full of celebrity voice talent, designers, and writers from animation and gaming. This year’s guest list includes such names as the cast of Steven Universe (Deedee Magno Hall, Estelle, Michaela Dietz, Sugan Egan, Mckenzie Atwood & Zach Callison), Patrick Warburton (The Emperor’s New Groove and Series of Unfortunate Events), Roger Clark (Red Dead Redemption) and Tony Anselmo (the current voice of Disney’s Donald Duck).

In addition to celebrity Q&As and gaming competitions, there will be panels on everything you can think of; from how gaming companies are working, to make gaming more accessible to those with disabilities, to how to build your cosplays; from learning to run your own Dungeons and Dragons campaign to discussions on diversity and representation in Anime. There will be numerous themed karaokes and sing-a-longs, as well as live performances from several groups including Geekapella & Bit Brigade. If you don’t manage to make it to a single panel, tournament, or performance, thousands of talented cosplayers fill the convention center with their amazing and imaginative takes on characters from numerous genres. (If you are going and cosplaying, Random Acts will be hosting a Cosplay Repair Booth on site to help in the event you need a quick fix!)

There is a little something for everyone at MomoCon and Nerds and Beyond will be there to bring it all to you! Stay tuned to our coverage of the weekend!

MomoCon is a 4 day event held at the Georgia World Congress Center from May 23-26, 2019. Get more information and find out how to attend at www.momocon.com
