I love that this film does not ignore what happened in Avengers, it shows Tony struggle with the outcome. He has panic attacks which result in him building many suits as comfort and reassurance. My favorite part is the end of the film when he destroys the other suits he made and says he will look at getting the core removed from his body because he is Iron Man without the technology. He believes that he is truly worthy of being a hero and part of the Avengers. – Sarah

Out of all the Iron Man movies, this is my favorite as far as the portrayal of Tony and the path he has taken in all of the previous films. It might not be the best film when it comes to a portrayal of a “villain”, but in my opinion, the main conflict in this film is Tony battling his inner demons and trying to deal with the trauma of what happened in New York. Seeing a beloved character struggle is difficult, but seeing him persevere and overcome his struggles is inspiring, and that is exactly what happens in this movie. Showing this vulnerable side of a superhero genius makes him even more likable and makes fans understand his actions in the past and future, considering the path Tony takes in the coming films like Age Of Ultron and Civil War. My favorite scenes are the ones between Tony and Harley, because they show Tony’s efforts to be protective and encouraging to a young, son-like figure, something that will become a theme in Civil War and Homecoming in the later installments of the franchise. – Conny

I really enjoyed this movie and it is one of my top Marvel movies. We see Tony vulnerable and dealing with the repercussions of what happened in New York. I love how real it is and how he keeps fighting, no matter what. His perseverance is what keeps me watching but his heart is what makes me love him. I have to mention the part where Pepper kicks ass because she finally gets her moment. Iron Man 3 can connect with many viewers about dealing with a traumatic event and I really admire how it was done. – Kailey
