Fans of the beloved show Psych can rejoice! It was just announced that Psych: The Movie 2 will begin production in Vancouver this March!

Everyone will be back for the movie. James Roday and Dulé Hill will return as humorous consulting detective duo Shawn and Gus. Returning with them will be Juliet O’Hara (Maggie Lawson), Karen Vick (Kirsten Nelson), Henry Spencer (Corbin Bernsen), and Carlton Lassiter (Timothy Omundson).

And that is not all! The beloved crew of the hit show is back as well. Steve Franks will direct and will co-write the script with Roday and Andy Berman. Franks, Roday, Hill, and Chris Henze will executive produce.

The crew will be reunited to help out Lassie when he is injured on the job. But things seem a bit supernatural at the clinic where he is recovering. Who better to help than a fake psychic detective and his best friend, Magic Head?

Psych is also not afraid to pay homage to the great suspense and horror creators of the past. It seems they will be giving a nod to Hitchcock in the new movie!

One can also expect plenty of humor. Comedy did not fall short in Psych’s 8-season run on USA Network. The show provided loads of hilarious moments for the fans, as well as a plethora of memorable quotes. It felt like time had not passed at all when Psych: The Movie premiered December 7, 2017. Things had changed for our characters, but the comedy never did! I am sure we can expect that with the sequel as well!
