Disney is not stopping anytime soon with the continuation of their quest to recreate the magic with filming live action versions of Disney classics. Next up on the list of announcements is The Hunchback of Notre Dame. This movie is one that does not get the attention it deserves with the beautiful message and lessons it teaches us.
The story follows Quasimodo, a bell ringer in a church, as he tries to defy the evil man who raised him, the minister, who keeps him hidden. He meets Esmeralda and the two have a special friendship connection. Quasimodo has to find the courage and the strength to leave the tower, and go against the minister in order to save Esmeralda and the town.
According to Entertainment Weekly, they will create the script from the 1996 movie and Victor Hugo’s novel. Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz will be crafting the music for this new adventure. No news yet on casting news, but stay tuned!
