Several members of Supernatural announced in August that they were teaming up to run in the Amica Seattle Marathon to raise money through Random Acts to fight child hunger. The idea was immediately dubbed “The Bad Idea Tour.”

In a hilarious video originally posted by Collins today, it was confirmed for the first time that Danneel Ackles, Genevieve Padalecki, and Vicki Vantoch are joining their husbands (Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins) along with Rob Benedict, Rachel Miner, Ruth Connell, Adam Fergus, and Jason Manns to complete “The Bad Idea Tour Team.”

In the video below, you can see footage of the three stars of Supernatural in space pants, as well as short clips from Benedict, Miner, Manns, and Fergus.

Padalecki also Tweeted out his support for the cause:

And Ackles had a little something to say as well, though it wasn’t quite as eloquent.

You can read in more detail about what The Bad Idea Tour is raising money for on the Crowdrise website for the event.

Pet alligators. Marshmallows in salads. Mullets.

Humans have had some awful ideas throughout history. But some terrible ideas are so good, you’ve got to try them to see how they turn out… and the Supernatural cast may have hit upon the best bad idea of all time:

We are going to run the Amica Seattle MARATHON.

That’s right. On Sunday, November 25, we’ll attempt to run 26.2 miles to fight childhood hunger!

Worldwide, too many struggle with hunger. In the US alone, 1 in 6 children don’t know where their next meal will come from. It’s a huge problem, but we’re gonna do something about it: for this year’s Random Acts’ Endure 4 Kindness event, we’re taking on the Amica Seattle Marathon to help feed children in many of the poorest areas in the US and globally.

We’ll endure 26.2 miles of pulled muscles, chafed nipples, and out-of-breath whining… but with your support, we’ll get over the finish line. Donate to help us make a difference!

According to the website, more than $40,000 dollars has been raised by almost 1,200 people in just over two months, and there’s still over a week left to donate! Which is great, because it was also announced today that donations up to $100,000 will be matched by Ackles, Padalecki, and Collins.

If you haven’t already donated to support some of our favorite people and two great causes, you can click here to donate directly. If you’d rather, check out the E4K Website where you can sign up to raise your own funds for Random Acts.

If you still need a little bit more information about what the E4K is, everything you need to know is this video.

The E4K is happening November 22-25, and the Amica Seattle Marathon takes place at the tail-end of that on Sunday, November 25. That means there is less than ten days left to turn this “bad idea” into good for hungry children everywhere.
