New details were announced on November 8 concerning the new Disney streaming service “Disney+.” Adding to the news of a new Star Wars series starring Diego Luna, Disney has also confirmed the rumors that Tom Hiddleston will be reprising his role of Loki in a series based on the god of mischief.

Hiddleston has played Loki since 2011, appearing in all three films of the Thor trilogy as as well as Avengers (2012) and Avengers: Infinity War in 2018.

The character’s fate in this recent film has been avidly discussed among fans, however Disney has not confirmed details as to whether or not the standalone series will be dealing with Loki’s past or with a possible story after the events of Infinity War.

Hiddleston’s portrayal of Loki has brought him a loyal and dedicated fan base that will be thrilled to see that there are still stories to be told, even though Loki’s time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is over. Or is it?

Conny joined her first fandom at the tender age of three and somehow never stopped finding new things to obsess about and love. Her current love is everything Marvel, especially two characters who tend to be frozen at one point or the other. From Drag Race to Harry Potter or musical theatre, as long as it makes her smile (or cry), it’s probably her thing.
