A few months ago, Disney announced that it will be severing ties with Netflix at the end of this year in favor of making its own streaming service. This service will be the new home for many of the companies movies and TV shows. There have also been rumors of original content. Such as mini series for heroes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Not much is known about the streaming service in terms of cost or the budgeting for these mini series, but according to Variety both Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen have already been rumored to reprise their roles as Loki and Scarlet Witch for six to eight episode long TV series, and now it seems more fan favorites have joined the line up: Falcon and The Winter Solider.

Variety broke the news that Maclom Spellman (Empire) has been tasked to write a series for the two, though Marvel and Disney are still keeping mum on the project.

News of the development comes after Variety exclusively reported that Marvel and Disney were prepping multiple limited series centered on characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe who had yet to appear in their own standalone films. At that time, it was reported that characters like Loki and Scarlet Witch would also be the subject of their own limited series. The series are expected to be six to eight episodes.

Both Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) have been fan favorites since we first saw them on screen together in Captain America: The Winter Solider.

These shows-unlike the Marvel shows airing on Netflix- would be produced by Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios.
