A new Harley Quinn cartoon is coming to the DC Universe streaming service in 2019. As you can see in the first look video below, it is an adult cartoon version of the villain’s story featuring her friend Poison Ivy and we can also expect to see other appearances. The voice of Quinn will be provided by Kaley Cuoco (Big Bang Theory) who will also be an executive producer for the show. Warner Brothers Animation released the news and trailer at New York Comic Convention this year.

“The show, as dark as it is, it’s absolutely hilarious. The dialogue is hilarious. It starts out with her and Joker in this very crazy up and down relationship, and in the opening, they’re partners and once again Joker takes all the credit for all the mayhem, when she wants to be the biggest badass there is! She wants to be partners and Joker screws her over for the hundredth time. So finally, she gets the nerve to break up with him and she’s like, I’m done with this. I want to rule Gotham City. I want to do this. I want to be the badass queen. So, she gets her own team together, which is kind of the beginning of the series, getting her squad, getting this group behind her to help her kind of become the city’s worst nightmare. In a good way!”

Is how Cuoco describes the show in an IGN article, she also made the announcement on her Instagram.

IMDB has the adult cartoons summary as,

“The series will focus on a newly single Harley Quinn, who sets off to make it on her own in Gotham City.”
