Season 9 of The Walking Dead returns with a large time jump that will introduce us to new characters. One of those new characters will be played by Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy, Outsiders, Bates Motel) who will be playing Beta, second in command for The Whisperers. It has been revealed they will be the new villains of season 9, wreaking havoc for Rick, Daryl and their group. If you thought Negan was bad, just wait!
In the comic book written by Robert Kirkman, The Whisperers are a group of people who as a way of survival wear the skin of walkers to fool both the walkers and humans they encounter. I am curious to see how much of the comic book version of The Whisperers and Beta we will see.
Hurst announced his involvement on Twitter by showing a picture of his character from the comic.
