To make way for the new Mickey and Minnie ride coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort, The Great Movie Ride will be closing.
The last day for The Great Movie Ride to operate will be on August 13.
The new ride will be called Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway and will feature a new story, theme song and take you inside a Mickey cartoon short.
The ride will start with a cartoon where Mickey and Minnie are headed to a picnic and ride next to a train, which Goofy is driving. You’ll get to step onto Goofy’s train for the ride.
No 3D glasses will be needed; Disney is inventing new technology to transform the ride into a dimensional design.
Disney also said this ride will have more hidden Mickey’s than we’ve ever seen!
