To celebrate 25 years of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, a documentary is being made about the show.

The documentary is directed by Adam Nimoy and produced by series showrunner Ira Steven Behr and David Zappone.

The documentary will be titled What We Left Behind: Looking Back at Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and will be taking a look at how the series went from an outcast in the Star Trek universe to being one of the most loved.

Included in the documentary are actors such as Nana Vistor (Kira), Terry Farrell (Dax), Rene Auberjonois (Odo), Armin Shimerman (Quark) and Michael Dorn (Worf).

Another cool feature is that 5 of the DS9 writers mapped out the first episode to a Season 8.

A fundraising campaign was launched to help fund the documentary, and as of writing this has fulfilled 112% of their goal.
